West Begins Waller Sweep

The Mustangs came out on top against Waller’s Bulldogs Tuesday night. The final score was 2 – 0.

This low scoring game was nothing more than one moon shot, a triple, and an RBI. Brody Szako decided to launch a ball back to Magnolia in the third inning to put the Mustangs on the board 1-0. In the fifth, Carson Carpenter slapped the ball and sent it bouncing off the fence, reaching third before the ball even made it back to the infield. Dylan Van Wicklen scored Carpenter the next at bat.

The Mustang’s pitching staff left yet another team dumbfounded, with efforts from JP Ellwanger (Starting Pitcher), Reid Snook (Relieving Pitcher), and Zach Wall (Closing Pitcher). These three kept the Waller Bulldogs scoreless the entire game with help from the defense behind them.

Game two of the series will be this Friday at 7:00 pm. Come support!
