Hey, Y’all Hear That? … Sounds Like 0 and 6

PICTURED: Fellow Mustangs Pose In Historic Shot As They Sweep The Brenham Cubs In 2 Game Series

The Mustangs were able to sweep the Brenham Cubs and close the series by winning 2-0, sending them on a long bus ride home to the land of Blue Bell with their sixth loss in District.

Robert Revels pitched a complete game, making the Cubs offense look foolish, while Outfielder, Austin Maddox, cleaned up the balls they managed to hit out of the infield. Carson Carpenter set the tone early with a two-run home run over the right field fence into the Amazonian Jungle. When asked what was going through his mind before he stepped up to the plate, Carpenter responded with, “It’s simple. Chicks dig the long ball. I knew what I had to do, and I did it”.

The Mustangs further reduced Brenham’s playoff hopes with the win Friday night. The Cubs have been to the playoffs for the past 36 years, and with their sixth consecutive loss on Friday, things are not looking too good for them.

On Tuesday April 02, the Mustangs will start the two game series against their cross-town rivals, the Bulldogs. After losing a bunch of key seniors last year, the Puppies pose little threat to the Mustangs undefeated season and should only be a speed bump on the Mustangs’ road to a District Title. Stay Tuned…
